We have been traveling a lot to and from the VA, having some tests done. They did a chest X-ray and a EKG. They gave us the hard copy of the EKG to keep with his file till we follow up with the doctor. I took a looked at it, and was shocked to see that it came back abnormal. I didn't want him to see what I was looking at, and quickly put it away. After he went to sleep, I looked up everything that was on the EKG. The only information that kept popping up was HEART ATTACK. I have been so scared. How can this happened, when, how much damage, am I reading to much into it? So MANY questions.

He suffered a stroke back on November 8,2007. We know how fortunate he is with the recovery. It took me education and time, but I know how to handle his stroke issues. I know when his difficult times are coming, I know by looking in his beautiful eyes. They seem to speak to me. I know just how to soothe him when he is anxious or upset. He still takes care of his daily needs, fixes something to eat if he wants, can drive a car. So, yeah, we are very lucky!

But now I find myself in frozen in time. I don't know where to turn. What questions do I ask? Since he has had a stroke AND a heart attack, what restrictions should there be? I will be calling to get his x-ray report first thing on Monday morning. I have to know what is going on. If the report states anything wrong, I am going to get his follow up appointment moved up.

I have filed claims with the government for illnesses he has gotten while serving in Iraq. It takes so damn long! I won't get started on that.
